Northumberland, you've stolen a piece of my heart! Our recent staycation at Stablewood Coastal Cottages was absolutely perfect, and I'm already counting down the days until we can return. This charming collection of accommodations, from cozy cabins to spacious cottages, offered the ideal blend of peaceful surroundings, dog-friendly hospitality, and easy access to the stunning Northumberland coastline. It was the ultimate escape for both me and my furry adventure buddies!
From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our cabin was the epitome of cozy, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. Stablewood has truly thought of everything to make their accommodations feel like a home away from home. And the fact that they left us a lovely hamper with wine and goodies was the cherry on top!
For the dogs, there’s a small secure garden area just behind your parking. If you have an escape artist just keep an eye as the fence could easily be jumped.
Northumberland itself is a feast for the senses. From dramatic castles perched on rugged cliffs to miles of pristine sandy beaches, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We spent our days exploring the coastline, breathing in the fresh sea air, and soaking up the beauty of this incredible region.
