Looking for a peaceful escape into nature? The Macclesfield Forest Circular (Red Route) offers a delightful and easy ramble through enchanting woodland. We recently explored this trail wit some of our besties, and it's perfect for a relaxing day out, especially when followed by a truly epic roast dinner.

This circular walk is a lovely blend of gentle paths and tranquil forest scenery. The route meanders through the heart of Macclesfield Forest, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The towering trees create a sense of calm, and the air is fresh and fragrant.

The trail is generally flat and well-maintained, making it suitable for all fitness levels. There are a few slightly steeper sections, just enough to get your heart rate up a little, but nothing too challenging. It's a great walk for families, dog walkers, or anyone simply looking for a pleasant stroll in nature.

One of the highlights of our trip was undoubtedly our post-walk feast at the Ryles Arms. Let me tell you, this pub serves up the most amazing roast dinner!

Perfectly cooked meat, crispy roast potatoes, and all the trimmings – it was the ideal way to end our forest adventure. And the best part? It's dog-friendly too! Our 3 furry psychopaths were welcomed with open arms, making the whole experience even better.
