Moel Arthur holds a special place in our hearts. It's the very first hike we took our rescue dog, Dougie, on, marking the beginning of many adventures together. And what an introduction to hiking it was! This circular route offers stunning views, a good (but not overly strenuous) workout, and plenty of photo opportunities – perfect for capturing those precious memories.
The initial climb up Moel Arthur is definitely a bit steep. You'll feel the burn in your legs, but it's a relatively short ascent. And trust me, the effort is more than worth it. As you climb, the views open up, revealing a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding Welsh countryside.

We spent a good amount of time at the top, just soaking it all in and snapping photos of Dougie enjoying his first high peak summit.
